Sweet Potato in Syrup Sauce
7 Sweet Potatoes
4 Oz. Butter
1 Cup Water
2 Cinnamon Sticks
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/4 Cup White Rum
1/4 Cup Liquor 43 [ amaretto also works]
In a large cooking pot melt the butter and then add the sweet potatoes. Add the remaining ingredients except the rum and the liquor. Cover the pot for 20 minutes then add the rum and liquor. Stirring occasionally over medium heat until sweet potatoes are tender and fully cooked. Enjoy!
