Spaghetti with Rapini (Spaghetti How-Do-You-Do)

  • 1 Package Spaghetti
  • 1 Bunch Rapini
  • 1/2 Cup Olive Oil, the best one you can get your hands on
  • 5 Cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 8 Basil, chopped
  • 6 oz Jar Mushrooms, fresh even better

    This is an easy recipe , full of flavor .  Boil water in pot. Cook spaghetti according to instructions on package.
    Heat large skillet with olive oil. Add minced garlic, mushrooms and basil leaves. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Stir frequently until garlic is lightly browned. Remove from heat.
    About five minutes prior to spaghetti being ready, add the Rapini to spaghetti. Move spaghetti and Rapini with tongs gently, until spaghetti is al dente.
    Drain water from Spaghetti and Rapini into colander. Place in a bowl.
    Pour the olive oil, garlic, mushroom, and basil mix from hot pan to Spaghetti and Rapini  bowl and mix thoroughly.
    Serve and add parmesan cheese, if desired. Enjoy!.
