Tortellini with Garlic and Basil

  • 1 Package Tortellini, or you can make your own
  • 6 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • Handful Basil, chopped
  • 1/4 Onion, minced
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 5 Tablespoons Olive Oil, the best one you can get your hands on
  • Pinch Salt
  • Pinch Pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Adobo, optional , spice section at the supermarket
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese, optional

    This is an easy recipe , for one of those days that you come home from work and don’t want to spend much time in the kitchen .By the time you serve yourself a  glass of wine and finish it, is ready to serve. Love it .

    Boil water, add one spoon of olive oil and salt [ just a pinch ] in the water. Add Tortellini and boil for 8 to 10 minutes until pasta is al dente. While the pasta is cooking, in small frying pan heat olive oil [ 5 tablespoons] and butter [4 tablespoons].

    Add  chopped  onions, garlic and basil to heated  frying pan,  add salt, pepper, and adobo . Sautee the mixture gently for 5 to 6 minutes,  until mixture is soft, do not brown.  Mix it all together, sprinkle with parmesan cheese [optional]. Enjoy!
